F2BK is an Official USAT Club!


Athletes will develop proper technique and skills, build endurance, work on speed, learn to strength train properly and discover the importance of healthy nutrition to fuel their bodies. In addition, athletes will be race ready for their event whether it is a splash & dash, triathlon, 5K or cycle event! Club athletes can choose from several local events to participate in!

Need to learn how to ride a bike?

Coach Dorrer offers private lessons to teach kids (and adults!) how to ride a bike.  In most cases, she can have them riding in one or two sessions.

$60 per hour

Need some extra swim instruction?

Get a private session or a few sessions to learn how to swim or to work on stroke technique.  These are available June – August.

$40 for a 30 min session

F2BK Triathlon Club

Summer Club Training for Youth (7-12) and Juniors (13-17)

Tuesday evening club training sessions are for youth and junior athletes of all levels. We don’t only swim, bike and run!  We make training fun with games and relays. Although club members warm up together, training is based on the athlete’s age category and is specific to their racing distance. Older and experienced athletes are encouraged to help younger and new athletes in training. Club training is designed to be a fun, team building experience as well as good preparation for race day. All gear is required for swim, bike and run activities every Tuesday.

  • Tuesday evenings 7:00-8:00pm
  • Old Farm Swim & Paddle
  • May 29– June 26 and July 31 – Aug 21
  • Cost:  $100 for the summer!  (no pro-rate available)

 

F2BK Youth & Junior Elite TRI Training

Athletes in the elite program are expected to participate in club activities on Tuesdays but will also meet with the coach for additional training and follow a training plan provided by the coach to complete workouts on their own. You must consult with the coach before joining this program.

Who may participate in the elite training? Any of the following after consulting the coach:

  • Youth and junior athletes who intend to race competitively and place at or near the top of their age group.
  • Junior athletes who compete at longer distances and need more training than is provided by regular club sessions.
  • Youth and junior athletes who demonstrate a desire to excel in the sport.
  • Youth and junior athletes who intend to compete at Nationals in August.

  • Thursday 6/14, 11:00am – cycle/run
  • Saturday 6/16, 7:00am - splash & dash
  • Thursday 6/21, 11:00am – cycle / run
  • Monday 6/25, 11:00am – cycle / run
  • Saturday 7/28, 7:00am – splash & dash
  • Monday 7/30, 11:00am -  pre-nationals prep swim/bike/run

F2BK Club & Elite Training: $200  (Includes summer club trainings and extra training dates.  Also includes on-line training program for athletes to complete training on their own.  Pro-rate not available.)

 

Pre-Race Practice Clinics

Included in F2BK Club Membership, or $20 per participant for non-members.

All athletes, even experienced athletes, will feel more confident about their upcoming race after completing these clinics. They will practice all aspects of the sport and learn everything they need to compete safely and fast. Some of the topics and activities covered include:

  • What to bring in their gear bag on race day
  • Setting up a good, fast, and clean transition area
  • Practice swimming their race day distance and how to jump out of the pool toward transition
  • Transitioning quickly to the bike and rules for exiting transition area
  • Bike safety, road rules and triathlon race rules while riding.  How to safely pass other riders and positioning on the road
  • How and when to dismount the bike to enter the transition area
  • Run technique and pacing for a good run
  • Nutrition before, during and after the event
  • Practice your race finish smile!

A USAT membership is required to participate in any training or clinic. You will be asked to provide a copy of your membership prior to the first session. Youth and junior annual memberships are $10.


Step 3:  Race Uniforms are optional, though highly encouraged.

They are $90 for youth sizes and $130 for junior/adult sizes. The club order is placed on May 15 and suits will arrive by the first club session. To order a suit, email Coach Dorrer your size and for payment.

**Please note that registering for any races or events is not included in the F2BK Multisport Club fees**
